What's Up With All These Stewart/Colbert Re-Runs Lately????
This week- thus far?

Did I miss something here? (Please DO clue me in here, if you would)!

Usually 'they' tell us when 'they' are getting ready to take a vacation - or whatever...

I never heard anything about that lately. Matter of fact - one of the last things I saw was Colbert taking Stewart's so-called 'award' away at the Comedy Central Awards.

Ya think that has anything to do with it? shrug. Or else - did Colbert land in some hot water about his colbert.superpac.com?

Leaves one to really speculate here about what's really up????

Any clue......anyone??????

I almost feel as if I depend on these guys from day to day - week to week - given the current screwed-up political climate for some well needed grounding and smart, satire-like comic relief.

Please....PLEEZE don't tell me that the corporate sponsors (Viacom)? have finally stepped in???

OY. Please....PLEEZE - some darned body tell me that this just ain't so already!!!!!!!

What's up?

1. No they get 3 - 4 weeks off a year, usually around holiday times.
And Sunday is Easter. So you can turn the tin foil hat off.

6. They'll be back
They always take breaks this time of year. They deserve the time off. Jon and Stephen air new shows all year as opposed to scripted programs that have 6-month seasons.

8. Hope so........
Big kudos to the staff - by the way - whom must have to sift through ALL KINDS of stuff to make it the success that it is in a mere 22 minutes each!!!

9. Jon should NEVER have vacations...
We need him for news... real news. It's his goddam duty!

Besides, the Republibaggers provide him with such low-hanging fruit that his job isn't really work.

Gitcherass back to play, Jon!

14. They've always seemed to me to be on three weeks, then off the fourth. I think
it takes more than a week to produce a week of shows. I think they catch up the weeks they are off the tv but still going to work.

Though I haven't really noticed a pattern per se as you mentioned - my gosh - I think that it would take quite an astute staff to sift through ALL THAT STUFF which eventually ends up on the show....all things considered.

And I DO MEAN....quite the range! From snippits from obscure films to anything else in between.

Some darn body(ies) is/are spending just an enormous/incredible amout of time trying to add something worthwhile which brings all this together, afterall ~

Sure - we sit back in our chairs or whatever...but sometimes I think to myself - my gosh...the staff - they must have to make this 22 minute flow so easily - and I just can not really fathom or imagine the research it must take from any of them to pull it all together like this - you know?

(Kind of amazing when you really stop to think about it) ~

I mean.....really - now!

Obscure footages that they show...right - and make it all blend so easily????

Many, many folks MUST be behind the scenes each and everyday and at the helm coordinating all this stuff...and my hats off to them - by the way!

I for one - appreciate the efforts of all to make all of this come together like it does ~

And to do so -so seemingly easily and without flaws.

Nothing short of a masterpiece (really) each and every time - in all honesty!

So..I reckon that I can't really complain..........
