Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky
Has here anyone read it? I heard that Grady Warren idiot complaining about it, and anything that pisses off the teabaggers has to be good.

1. The right wingers have been going on about it for a while now.
It's obviously a talking point.

I never heard of Saul Alinsky or Rules for Radicals until they started yapping about it.

3. The Republicans (some teabaggers) studied Alinsky. They suely
learned to "agitate" very very quickly and I would
say it worked.

4. It was on the reading list for a college social work class I took in the 70s.
I have a copy here I just pulled out of a bookshelf. Thumbing through it, I don't see anything all that radical by today's standards. In fact, some of it is what the teabagger organizers used to start their "movement."

5. yes, it's a great book
and its lessons on motivating and reaching out to people are applicable way beyond community organizing

I am very discouraged that the right wing has made Alinsky into an evil demon (along with George Soros, another very intelligent and decent person)
