Anyone watching Ron Paul on Colbert?
Its strange he's getting a lot of cheers from Colbert's audience. A lot more than most conservatives do. I'll admit I do agree that we should audit the fed.

1. Many like him for his anti-war positions.
But he's a fruitcake, of course.

2. Yeah, I've always viewed him as a bit of a fanatic.
He's principled to be sure and that is something to respect, but his principles are dead wrong and dangerous.

3. I'm not sure if I've ever seen someone booed on Stewart or Colberts shows.
Also, libertarians might have bought their way in there after they found out he will be there.

4. I Preferred His Interview With Borat
What does it tell you when Ron "Libertarian" Paul can't even secure the Libertarian Party nomination?

6. One of two things.
He's either A. A bad candidate, which seems odd for a 3rd party to worry about since they know the won't win anyway.B. This ties into what I was saying before, 3rd parties tend to go for ideological purity because they figure they can't win so they might as well be pure. If that is the case and Ron Paul didn't get it than perhaps he is fake libertarian?

7. Ron Paul's popularity disturbs me
Yeah we should audit the FED n end the wars. I hope the people who cheer when he says these things look closer at what he's all about.

Cause it's not pretty

8. Democrats could learn a lot from his stances on war and the drug war...
I couldn't disagree with him more on economics, obviously.
