I figured it out. He was never born.
That's the only explanation. It explains why his birth certificate is missing, why no one remembers him at Columbia, and why there are no school records.

He's a figment of our imagination.

No wonder the birthers are pissed off. We have an imaginary president.

As if it's necessary-> :sarcasm:

3. Remember when they swore Democrats thought he was the Messiah?
We didn't, of course, but what do we know? He might be after all.

4. No, his birth had to be hidden so he wouldn't be killed.
Due to the prophecy, the dark witch Bavmorda ordered all the infants be killed. He escaped by being sent down the river in a basket and being raised by hobbits.

And because the world is dumb, I have include this disclaimer:

5. Did you ever read STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND?
Do you remember the main character from that book? Valentine Michael Smith? Now we know who Heinlein was referring to!!

7. Didn't we have an imaginary president just a few years ago?
He imagined a lot of things, and I remember he had to be something imaginary to me, because no one could have been more destructive to our country.
Everything he did in those eight years, is why our imaginary President is gaining gray hairs by the hour.
I imagine me and Jennifer Love Hewitt on a private island.
I know the difference between real and imagined.
I have a better chance at that private island rendezvous, than they do of beating him.

And they know that.

I wish Monkey Boy was a figment of my imagination, I really do.
