CNN just handed a plate full of crow for Trump to feast on.

Anderson Cooper is doing a 2-part investigation on the birther conspiracy. Tonight was the first part:

http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/04/25/birthers.obama.hawaii/index.html

They have covered this before, but today's story is a clear message to Donald Trump and anyone else who wants to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate.... In a move that clearly makes an ass out of anyone who publicly admits they are a birther (TRUMP), they put the video right up in their featured #1 top story spot on their website (screenshot below). They might as well change the headline to "Donald Trump is Full of Shit."

I'm not a huge CNN fan, but this is well done. I'm sure Donald's huge red head is exploding at this moment. There is absolutely no way he gets anywhere on his presidential bid now, unless he admits he's wrong. But I see him more of a "go down in flames" kinda guy. Have a nice ride down, Donald, you've officially jumped the shark, eaten crow, had your 15 minutes... you're toast, it's over.

1. What they are doing is protecting plutocrats
Nothing would help our battle against rightwing whackjobs more than to have this birther nonsense keep going, exposing the righties for the nutjobs that they are.

2. Nice post gary k*r
The first time I heard The Donald say this, I was stunned. Then I thought, 'That's it for him.'

Birther notions are either pure fantasy or crypto racism. In Trump's case, it's a shot at a
major portion of the Republican Party. It's also the type of stupidity that about 80% of the
population finds irrelevant, particularly in these times.

Adios Donald. You've managed to make your person and campaign totally unacceptable.

8. why would you be irritated? this is good.
personally I disagree 10000% with the "ignore it because it's so ludicrous" tactic. Been there, done that with Kerry and the swiftboats. I think the more they investigate and expose the truth about it, the better. the fact that 25% of the people still believe it is reason enough to keep drilling it.

5. Trump has already
made it obvious that even if Obama produced the birth certificate he wouldn't be happy. He wants to see Obama's school records as well. What would be next? His social security card? His marriage license? His children's birth certificate?

15. Agreed... this is about
one of "The Blacks" being in the "White" House. Obama could produce a video of himself being carried out of the hospital and it wouldn't do any good.

6. It doesn't matter. The Republican base (freepers) don't trust CNN.
They'll simply conclude that the lamesteam media is covering for him. This hurts Trump not at all with them. The nomination is his to lose at this point.

9. I hope you are wrong
I don't want Trump to go away. The longer as he's on TV every night spouting bullshit and getting high marks from the republican primary base the better the chance he will be their nominee.

Obama would kick his ass so bad in the general election he'd never show his face in public again and the republican party would be exposed as the fools they are for nominating him.

The whole experience would be karl rove's worst nightmare and that can't be bad.

Unfortunately I fear you are right. Trump will step on his Johnson and disappear well before he ruins the republican party forever.

11. I'm 100% with you.
Trump continuing to promote himself and the birther nonsense under the banner of the Republican party must be sending shivers down the party leadership's spine.

Which is why I am absolutely in support of it. :)
