2. I think it was Calvin Coolidge who made that remark
as governor of Massachusetts, in regard to the 1919 policeman's strike:

"There is no right to strike against the public safety by anybody, anywhere, any time."

4. More like few people got the point and now I have to explain the joke.
You will notice I said nothing in support of FDR's remarks. My point, now that I have to spell it out, is that FDR did some things that would be offensive to aot of DUers, and there is no perfect Democrat that satisfies everyone, so people should quit expecting Obama to be everything they want, because not even FDR was everything they want. The people saying that I was using a right-wing argument about unions didn't put in the work to see that I have posts from the last couple months in support of the unions in Wisconsin.

5. Certainly
No one President will ever be the "perfect Democrat", I quite agree; yet you must admit Obama's record is pretty sketchy on things like turning two wars into three wars and counting, caving on health care yet again (granted, not quite as bad as Clinton), caving by hiring the very same Wall St. chroneys that created the economic meltdown in the first place .. hired them back up at the WH to provide a "fix" for the very problems they created?

I think the far left and the Left in general needs to push Obama to do the right thing, always. What do we have to loose, except everything?
