"Grow up"?? Indeed...
What's happened here John, is that YOUR buddy-boy kept getting new credit cards & went on an 8 year spending binge..He just stashed the bills in the desk drawer, and now in a few short years, Obama is expected to pay off that huge debt...with what? You guys also crashed the economy, so there's even less income.
This scenario plays out in homes all over the country.. One person is "in charge" of paying bills, and if there's not enough money, that person sometimes just takes on more & more credit, thinking that somehow it will all work out..
There's usually a dramatic moment when the partner/spouse/parent, "finds" all those unopened statements, but by then it's too late because there just is no money to pay those bills.
A person can downsize their lives, move to a cheaper place, declare bankruptcy, sell a car, drop out of school, get a second job.. but a country can only raise taxes or eliminate services...or a combination of both.
The one thing that cannot be done is to punish the uninvolved people who had no part of running up the debt..
The "grown up" here is Obama who is trying to clean up a decade-long mess...a mess that Johnny-boy had a hand in creating every time he voted to give W everything he wanted and more..

1. Similar to the way I see it ... |
|
As I see it, the corrupt and evil BushCo Regime drove the car into the ditch. Obama is the auto body shop trying to make it better again. Boner & Co want to blame all the country's problems on the remedy instead of the cause.

3. I'm floored that the American public is so easily duped and can't remember what took place in the |

last decade. Don't they remember what the world was like before the sham 2000 election?

5. A lot of people do remember |
|
Which is why the popular media have their job cut out: Pretending that none of it happened, and acting shocked (shocked!) to discover this heueueueueuge deficit that appeared out of nowhere.

6. they only focus ( and smile from ear to ear) on how "the market" is doing |
|
Of course the market is doing fine.. Most of the investors are the fat-cats who drove prices down in the first place, and who seem to have a never-ending stash of money to buy it all back with cheap cash..they sure aren't spending it on hiring people back, are they?
