As a former student at the University of Chicago--and despite my dislike of said institution--I know that the University of Chicago does not offer tenure to law school professors (as they did to Obama despite another set of rumors to the contrary that are making the rounds in right wing crazy circles)unless said professor has some impressive credentials.

I have disagreements with Obama, but I do know that he is a brilliant man.


Of course you can tell that from his speaking abilities irrespective of his formal qualifications.
