So, tonight on the network nooz the Couric woman reported on young Paul Ryan getting his ass kicked
They had clips of him being jeered and booed and called a liar. At the end, they showed him walking out of the room, waving "triumphantly" to the unfriendly crowd . . . . with an armed cop escort protecting his sorry fucking ass.

Good on Ms. Couric.

We need to have more such coverage of these townhalls.

4. Well, I'm impressed that she, her writers and producers
covered this. How sad is that? I actually have zero expectations of these million dollar journalists, so when they do even the basics of their jobs I am "impressed."

6. I remember all of the coverage of the Koch brothers bused in, with scripts for interrupting town hal...
s astroturf mobs being all the "rage" and getting non-stop coverage, sorta like every time two teabaggers gathered, they got constant coverage and support from the alleged,"liberal media". The media is biased alright, but not the way the right wing nuts cry that it is. Thanks for the post Stinky.

10. "Your plan screws the next two generations," with the report (VIDEO)
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/04/26/eveningnews/main20057636.shtml?tag=cbsnewsTwoColUpperPromoArea

The reporter probably was required to add this in order to gain "access"
But the protests here and there don't bother Ryan. For every detractor there's more than one thanking him for trying to tackle the deficit.

11. Williams also showed
video of Ryan's not so happy town halls along with some of the comedy born from it. His 1 group did give him a standing ovation was thrown out like an after thought. Glad to see both covering the reaction to the Ryan Plan.

She is leaving soon and she has a ton of money - she is freer to report the news....but of course she doesn't decide it the owners do and they went to the same schools and belong to the same clubs as the other uberriche

15. She has the two week notice attitude.
Now that she doesn't give a shit about what her corporate masters tell her to do, she's reporting news as it really exists. None of this "through the corporate filter" shit because, what are they going to do, fire her? Let's see how long this trend continues before they pull her and introduce her replacement.

That's called feedback, Mr. Ryan. Propose to eliminate Medicare by giving it to private insurance
companies, you propose death to many, premature of course. That's the ultimate death panel.

21. Katie Couric does not edit video segments for CBS,
she didn't go to the town hall depicted and she did not even do the narration for the segment. Katie Couric is the teleprompter reader that CBS got to replace journalist Dan Rather (after they forced him to resign for saying Bush skipped out on TANG).

But nice to see CBS covering this at least a little.
