Got my first mail 'news' from my newly elected Tea Party Rep. today, with a survey. |
|
All 7 questions are a 'push-pull' type, getting people to tell him what he wants to hear. The last one is the kicker.
Q. What is the single biggest impact government has on you and your household? A: Lack of meaningful employment Health care costs Health Insurance availability Government regulations High taxes High energy prices Other ______________________________________
My answer to that one was "Other". Provides SS and Medicare for my 93 yr-old mother, unemployment insurance for my son, prevents disease and food contamination, provides education, roads, and services to the PEOPLE.
The whole thing is a real 'work of art'. I wrote across the top, "Nice Tea Party designed push-pull survey, Rep. Womack.

3. I'd have filled it out exactly as they wanted it... |
|
then kicked back and waited for the phone call with a job offer.
Alternatively, the same, just to provide a false sense of security in advance of the 2012 election.
You've got yourself banned from the mailing list and, now, you won't know what they're up to.

4. It's called a push-poll. People crying about push-poll's are one of my |
|
biggest pet-peaves. However, the egregiousness of this one certainly warrants it.
In addition to what you put, I would mail this rep asking him if he hates government so much, why is he a part of it?

6. He's already explained that. He's in it for the money. When asked why he wouldn't sponsor a bill to |
|
cut the House's benefits and salary, he claimed $174,000 wasn't enough to get by on.
