A "media magnet" is apparently like catnip to the MSM:
But White House officials concluded about a month ago that the falsehoods had moved from “the nether regions of the Internet” into the mainstream political arena, in large part because of Mr. Trump, the real estate developer and reality TV host who has used the matter as a media magnet.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/28/us/politics/28obama.html?_r=1&hpParts of the NYTimes' article are very oddly worded and they avoid the whole issue of why NBC refused to run ads for the Dixie Chicks after they said they were ashamed of the POTUS but 6 years later gives Trump a daily platform to say far worse things about the POTUS. Why was Trump booked on one show after another to spew this BS and what of the timing? Seems like the MSM is being used by its owners to push policy and pressure the WH.
Yet the Times chooses to portray the MSM as the helpless victims of a "media magnet."
