Just got a text from the inlaws...they are in Harvest near Huntsville. "took out the gas station by the house. barely missed the nuclear plant."

2. Because power plants are basically giant concrete building

I would expect them to be able to withstand a tornado. An earth quake is a very different beast then a tornado.
