1. American police would have killed the dog.
Looks like Greek police are braver and have a better sense of proportion.

4. Yes, police here routinely shoot any dog they see.
:(

Even if it is leashed in a yard, if they have to approach that home for any reason or enter that yard, that dog gets shot. If they have to enter a home and there is a dog present, and that dog isn't confined to a separate room, there is a good chance that dog may get shot.

It appears to be standard procedure in more and more places for police to shoot dogs rather than risk contact with them to see first whether or not there is any sign of risk. :(

It takes all the intelligence out of being a cop. "Just shoot. We'll defend you."

5. It really does say a lot doesn't it? That is what a government looks like that
still has some sense of respect and values for the individual.

It clearly outlines how violence is encorporated into our culture.

2. Yikes.
The pictures are great but if that happened here, I'd be afraid for the doggie.

Bobby? And a lot of others that are there to help us be better. I think that is what dogs do. THey make us better. Dog is God spelled backwards and there are no coincidences. :)
