What's the difference between the GOP and the KKK or Aryan Nations?
I swear it's getting harder and harder to differentiate between the GOP and other hate groups. Rethug policies have long been designed to keep minorities in check, so that part isn't really a surprise to many of us. The GOP seems to be growing more and more overtly racist, especially with the whole "Tea Party" movement. Read any internet article regarding Obama, GLBT issues, immigration, etc and then scroll down and read the comments section. Listen to Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, or any of these other RW propagandists, how much anger and vitriol is spewed towards minorities on a daily basis.

Obama simply brought their festering racism to the surface. They simply cannot stomach the idea of a black man in the White House. Many of these teabaggers claim they opposed Bush's spending. Bullshit. They didn't take to the streets protesting until Obama became president. These festering ass-for-brains never took to the streets to protest anything in their pathetic lives, but somehow they felt compelled to organize and protest Obama. Hence the whole "birther" issue, which is nothing more than their attempt to de-legitimize Obama. Obama's black, his father is from Africa, hence somehow Obama isn't fit to be president. It would be one thing if it were only a few fringe conspiracy freaks on the internet clinging to the birther issue. However, when you have rethug politicians embracing this issue, it really says a lot about the mindset of the GOP.

I'm really having a hard time distinguishing between the GOP and other hate groups.

2. Theres a difference? Since when? Really they are the same people just that they
are better at hiding their true agenda better then the KKK. Tell me the difference between code speak and hate speak outside of the legalities, the code words like welfare queen just sound better then lazy n***er, but it is the same speak. Lazy liberal on welfare sounds better then n***er loving race traitor and so forth and so on. R's are accepted whereas the KKK isn't but look at R tough on crime bs instead of lynching blacks they fill prisons up with blacks but in the end it amounts to the same goal, a dead black can't procreate and neither can an imprisoned black.

3. There's actually a huge difference. One hates jews while the other pseudo-worships them.
And I don't know what the KKK does nowadays.

5. R's hate jews but see that jews have a use in bringing about the end times
so R's really don't worship them they are just a mean to an end they are trying to bring about, the rapture.

4. Actually they are VERY similar.
As noted here: http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-hitler.htm

You could also go to the kkk's website and read the Knights party platform. I wouldn't even think of posting a link to that trash though.

9. plenty of GOP congressmen associate with the CCC.
Council of Conservative Citizens, or the KKK for the middle class.

Some of them hobnob with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, or the Southern League, too.

Not much difference between them and the KKK.

When ya got it, flog it.

Great post, Hugabear. GOP has played the race card since '68. Now they've become indistinguishable from the slaveholding eugenicist moneygrubbers who have no clue. They are perfect feeder korps for the Fourth Reich.

20. I haven't seen a group of 'Pugs roll up in sheets, carrying guns, killing and burning
Have you?

You do realize that most folks in both the KKK and Aryan Nations think that 'Pugs are far too liberal.

25. But without over the top hyperbole all we're left with is rational debate
and . . . oh that would actually be nice.

On the other hand framing every election as an epic struggle between nazis and commies does make it more entertaining.

23. Not fair...
to label...or, at the very least, associate...an entire party with the KKK and/or Hitler's minions.

SOME in the GOP are racist. Not all of them.

Using the word GOP in conjunction with racists of any kind is just as shameful as the RW associating terrorists with brown men from the Middle East and calling them all "the terrorists".

but GOP is as much a hate group just more willing to deny their intentions.
