One of Iowa's most fervent disbelievers in Obama's Hawaiian birth is Clark Betts of Des Moines.

At the April 16 tea party rally at the Iowa Capitol, Betts handed out photocopies of a document he received from a friend in the Iowa Minutemen marked "Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa British Protectorate of Kenya, Certificate of Birth, child bearing the name Barack Hussein Obama II."

"According to the best information I have, he was born in Mombasa, Kenya," Betts said.

Asked why he trusts a document from an unknown source over one from the White House, Betts laughed and said, "I guess one's just as good as the other."
