Just as no apology had been forthcoming regarding Trump's reigniting of the birther issue, I seriously doubt we will see any apology concerning the matter in the following link:

She survived, but with horrific damage. It was also the case for which the media invented the term "wilding" (claiming it was a term in use on the streets (it wasn't). Four African American teens who were spotted leaving the park were arrested, coerced into confessions by the NYPD, tried and convicted without a scintilla of physical evidence and sent to prison, where they languished for seven years. It wasn't until a man imprisoned on another charge confessed to the crime and his DNA was found to match that from the crime scene that the teens' convictions were thrown out and they were released from prison.
Trump's role in all this was to take out a full page ad in
The New York Times -- before trial -- calling for reinstatement of the death penalty (which was outlawed at the time) for the purpose of executing the four teens. Needless to say, his actions inflamed the media feeding frenzy and fatally compromised any possibility of the teens receiving a fair trial.
