Watching Cenk Uygur's MSNBC show I wanted to share my only beef with the program |
|
Anyone that knows me knows that I've been a big fan of Cenk Uygur and the TYT team for quite a while now. When Cenk got his TV show I was really excited for him. Having his voice on TV today is invaluable. But there is one thing about his show that has been bugging me (besides the tie). He has been doing a lot of interviews lately using the panel format where you have him and two guests. For example when he has Pat Buchanan on he will also have Bill Press on. I'm not sure if there is some regulation in cable news that requires this but what I always enjoyed about Cenk was his one on one interviews where he could really get in to detail about things and if the person being interviewed by Cenk was a total idiot that was made clear by the interview. With a interview format where one host interviews two guests something like that is much more difficult to accomplish.
I would love nothing more than to have Cenk question Pat Buchanan one on one, but that never seems to be the case. And as a general rule I think the interviews where Cenk is one on one with a guest are far more insightful.
