I confess.
I wasn't able to catch the thing in real time, so I'm actually enjoying the rerun of the wedding. Say what you will, the Brits know how to stage these things.

BUT.

In whiplash inducing contrast to the pomp and music, the commercials are utterly insipid. I mean, they are anyway, just moreso in the present context. A rooster introduced the last set of commercials. Can't wait to see what greets the newlyweds as they emerge from the church.

So sue me.

1. I enjoyed watching all the crazy hats
on the local news this morning. It seemed like some designer said lets see if we can create some crazy fashion trend and get people to wear it to the wedding.

6. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning
(I live in Mountain time zone) to watch, and because I don't have a TV, I was dependent on live streaming. I wound up on the CNN one (BBC kept on freezing up because of heavy usage) and best of all, the streaming had NO commentary. None. Zip. Nada. Zilch. It was rather like being there, but better, because I could see and hear everything.

2. I appreciated seeing the rerun, too.
I tried to watch it while getting ready for work this morning, but every time I turned it on, all I saw was the choir!

It was a beautiful wedding. Absolutely perfect! :)

7. My mom passed away today so I am not particularly interested in
seeing the whole ceremony and all that frippery. Normally I would, but I am a bit distracted.

(Mom's death was not unexpected, and was actually a relief for my family)

10. Condolences on your loss. I always marveled at how time seemed to stand
still when a loved one passed. Yet the world goes on.
