Seriously. Look at this steaming pile of shit that came across FB |
|
"Conoco/Phillips earnings at 3 billion for the first quarter. BP, a measley 5.48 Billion. Exxon - 11Billion. When Obama took over, gas was around $1.67 a gallon - it now averages around $3.87 a gallon. Yeah, it must be Bush's fault. All of you people who love this obama idiot, I hope that you can afford his "change". Hey, SOMEBODY has to pay for all of those wonderful social programs, right???"
They just lie and make it up as they go.
There is no reasoning with people who buy propaganda hook, line and sinker.
They just want to hate.

My dad uttered the whole "When Obama took office..." thing. I said it was because of the economy and he was all "No it wasn't."
There is no getting through to people like this; trust me--I've tried.

Gots his timelines screwed up there - as I remember it, that would've been when the fratboy came in (I even remember which gas station & pump I was grumbling at when I was bitching @ how it used to be 1.66 before he took office - how sad is that?).

Well before Obama took office, it all started with Bushy...it's gone up and down, but never as low as that poster says...

6. Actually, gas did dip under $2 when the economy crashed in late 2008. |

9. They love to repeat certain things as though they're actually saying something meaningful, "Yeah, it |
|
must be Bush's fault" is a perfect example of this. Completely meaningless, but they all "know" what it "means".

10. Someone lost a dollar in that piece of crap post. |

I checked this out on the US Dept of Energy website. That is just a lie. But....whoever created it already knows that, and the people who get this shit just believe everything they see on the internet, as long as it supports their thinking. Never would consider researching the truth. http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/wrgp/mogas_history.html
