The FBI and Department of Homeland Security are warning police across the country that protests against ICE or Trump administration policies are cover for terrorism to occur, according to a restricted circulation intelligence Bulletin leaked to me.

The Bulletin is the latest sign that Trump’s NSPM-7 national security directive ordering federal agencies to root out domestic terrorism will ramp up surveillance and monitoring of protests and free speech. Republican Party leaders are joining the panic over so-called domestic terrorism, with two top officials this week likening the upcoming “No Kings” anti-Trump protests to terrorism.

“They have a ‘Hate America’ rally that’s scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall,” Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said last Friday. “It’s the pro-Hamas wing and Antifa people,” he said. Majority Whip Rep. Tom Emmer, House Republicans’ third-highest ranking leader, also called that the upcoming No Kings protest a “‘Hate America’ rally,” attributing it to the “terrorist wing” of the Democratic Party.

These comments appear to be the first where congressional leaders have adopted the Trump administration framing of protesters as linked to terrorism. (Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem recently said that Antifa, which has been designated a “domestic terrorist organization” is just as dangerous as ISIS.)

Not to defend my foolish neighbors but: None of them knew how much DOGE and Congress would gut the economy before the

election. The wholesale firings and agency destruction was not expected to apply so quickly. IMO most thought it would occur through congressional action in the usual if politically charged way of Trump1. I doubt my neighbors had any reason to think Elmo and DOGE would or could act so peremptorily. They have believed there was waste in government but I doubt they had any idea how far DOGE or Trump intended to go.

To be fair they were given a false choice and expected more responsible decisions to be made. Yes, I hear you saying that you couldn't possibly believe that Trump would do so. I agree. But they were also lied to by our Governor, Montana Republicans in our legislature, our Congressmen and Senators about how Medicaid and Medicare, among other key programs wouldn't be touched.

I don't defend their poor judgement, nor their faith in a toxic cult, nor their willful condemnation of all kinds of fellow citizens, or the wanton desecration of education, science, or American History and Law.

However, you can only blame so much on them alone. They WERE manipulated, lied to, and deliberately deceived about the choices to make by people who were very well paid to do it, and who were elected to public office on the expectation that they would honestly act in the public interest.

There are very few in the GOP ranks of the House and Senate who could not be blamed at this point. Most of them DID know what was intended and most welcomed it. I cannot say to a man how many expected the assault on Law and Order, on Diplomacy, or National Health. I am sure the MAGA knew some of what was intended and probably worked to facilitate it.

IMO there are a few ropes in need of stretching in that regard, what with such treason being high crimes and felonies. I understand mass murder is considered to be a crime against humanity. 80 years ago there were trials, imprisonment, and executions meted out to those who were held responsible for the programmatic deaths of millions of European Jewish citizens. The programmatic, and wholly avoidable, removal of health insurance, healthcare, nutrition, and housing support to millions of American citizens dependent on Medicaid and Medicare will lead to their deaths either by immediate medical calamity or slow death through starvation and homelessness. These are the informed and willful choices made by elected GOP members of the House, Senate, and state legislatures along with GOP governors, and the Senate approved heads of our agencies and institutions.

They KNOW that people will die. They KNOW that this could be avoided by a simple and modest tax on the ultrarich oligarchs. They revel in the idea that they have won the culture war and consider that this is justice for having lost the Civil War 160 years ago.

I am no longer willing to extend my hand on cooperation with them. All of the chaos and death they are generating is intentional. I fully expect they will attempt to invalidate the interim elections in 2026 by any and all means they can muster. They are already trying to sell off what is left of our public lands.

Trump is expecting a report from Sect. of Defense and Homeland Security delivered by April 20 describing southern border

conditions and recommendations to control that border, including advising whether to invoke the 1807 Insurrection Act. This is fact. 47 put it in his first executive order declaring a national emergency, which he signed on Jan 20, 2025. Speaker Johnson has seen fit to abrogate his and the House's authority and responsibility to advise and consent to this order, or to renounce it, by refusing to allow discussion or a vote regarding ending it.

(b) Within 90 days of the date of this proclamation, the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall submit a joint report to the President about the conditions at the southern border of the United States and any recommendations regarding additional actions that may be necessary to obtain complete operational control of the southern border, including whether to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807.

It seems to me that 47 and his administration anticipate going to war SOON. That was revealed in the "signal chat".

It is also quite clear that they intend to do war at the drop of a hat for their own purposes. As in to threaten other nations that Trump might strike without warning, or cause, because that is how Mobsters enforce their rule by fear.

They did not discuss this proposed attack with any of the other nations who use the Suez canal or pass through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

They have obviously been planning to do this for a while, yet none of the particular members of Congress or the Senate who are by law supposed to be kept informed about such actions have been read in.

Now why do you suppose they used an unofficial platform to communicate about such high level decision making? Could it be incompetence? Could it be rooted in the desire to avoid official record keeping and thus erase all evidence of their perfidy?

That's the plan alright. Legal spot fires all over the map so you're playing whack-a-mole to keep up.

This is all part of the Heritage Foundation strategy: preliminary to all the challenges and peremptory lawsuits to clog the legal and electoral system before and during the election. They intend to fill the state and federal electoral and justice system with so many roadblocks that the election will appear to be in doubt before it has begun, before it can be counted, and before it can be certified.

It is a coordinated campaign of terror, an outright fraud on all American voters, and an assault on our system of laws and democratic government. It depends upon the perception that so many such complaints MUST mean that there are indeed real problems.

In short they intend to overwhelm us with a nearly endless series of lies, much like their candidate does.

of them to take over local government, state and national legislatures, the GOP and the White House. He is not just one of a few organically stupid jerks in elected office. He is one of thousands of RW true believers you'll find on school boards, city and county commissions, in the many GOP controlled state legislatures and governorships. They are the 3rd generation of what became visible as Newt Gingrich's Party of NO, followed by the Tea Party, and now MAGA. As such they are a numerically significant part of American political life. They are also a cancer on the body politic in that their goal is to disable and consume democratic government at every level to the ultimate benefit of the Ultra Rich and the Christian Nationalists. While not all of them are as outspoken as the tool mentioned above they are all well vetted and enthusiastic members of the cult.

The 1864 abortion law, which took effect briefly after Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022 but was soon blocked by the courts, was revived by the state’s highest court on April 9, inciting a national uproar and political panic among Republicans who worry that the ban will hurt their chances of winning elections later this year, including the presidential contest.

GOP anxieties about the politics of a near-total abortion ban have led to an unlikely, albeit temporary, alliance between Democrats, a small number of Republican lawmakers mostly in swing districts and allies of former president Donald Trump — including Senate candidate Kari Lake, who recently reversed her position on the ban and has been making personal appeals to GOP lawmakers, urging them to repeal the law.

Three Republicans in the House crossed party lines Wednesday to vote with all of the chamber’s Democrats. Even if the bill to repeal the 1864 law is approved by the Senate and signed by the governor, the near-total abortion ban could still take effect for several months. Bills typically take effect 90 days after the legislative session ends.

The legislation now moves to the state Senate, where it needs votes from at least two Republicans in addition to all of the chamber’s Democrats. The Senate is already moving forward with its own identical version of the repeal bill, signaling that it could have the GOP support needed to pass the bill approved by the House on Wednesday. The earliest that the Senate could vote on the House version is May 1, based on the chamber’s current schedule, according to legislative staffers.
