Trump's many wars

One of Fox's favorite catch phrases was its declarations of "war on Christmas, war on religion, war on terror", etc.

Here's a short list of Trump's, and by extension, the GOP's many wars:

- war on women
- war on democracy
- war on minorities
- war on education
- war on the poor
- war on the middle class
- war on freedom of the press/first amendment
- war on climate
- war on facts
- war on immigrants

Boycott Alabama

The only thing that will effect the GOP in Alabama is a boycott of their main industries. Maybe you can narrow it down to companies associated with GOP wealthy donors.

Senate Republicans admit defeat on health care bill as Collins declares her opposition

Source: Washington Post

Senate Republicans admitted defeat Monday in their latest attempt to undo the Affordable Care Act, as a third GOP senator announced her opposition to the measure.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) announced she could not back the measure authored by Republican Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.) and Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.), moments after a much-anticipated partial analysis of the measure by the Congressional Budget Office forecast that “millions” of Americans would lose coverage by 2026 if it was enacted.

MLK Moving Final Speech - Right to Protest

This speech is memorable for many things, but the initial part addresses first amendment rights in forceful terms.

I thought of it in relation to Trump's statements on Colin Kaepernick.

Trump believes in Eugenics/Superior Genes

This may be common knowledge in the DU, but I haven't seen anything regarding this issue.

While many people, including myself, are always wondering whether Trump's racist acts are to appease his base, or he's personally a racist, I think this video confirms the latter.

In the video, Trump says he does not believe all men are created equal, he's proud of his "German blood", believes in innate genetic superiority, and confirms the biographers statement that he was raised
to believe in at least certain aspects of eugenics.

As usual, he speaks vaguely without mentioning groups with either greater or lesser genetic ability.

But that's just him being his typical douchebag self who likes to screw with people. At this point, its very easy to connect the dots, starting with this video, moving to his birther movement, and now doing everything he can to delegitimize a black man's presidency by reversing all his actions.

What frustrates me is that this most concerning of issues was never addressed by the mass media. Ever.

The first question in the first debate should have been "do you believe all men are created equal?" because he does not, with ideally a follow-up question or 3.

Ms. Texas's Hate Filled Facebook Comments

So I checked Ms. Texas's Facebook page to check the comments since I anticipated some push back from Trump voters.

Unfortunately, I was not disappointed. In fact, despite what I thought might be facts that would deter outright hate - she's Texan, white, young, and her statement was relatively harmless in my mind, many of the comments from Trump voters were just plain vicious.

Now, I wouldn't be surprised if some were alt right trolls, and there were also numerous positive comments, But the intolerance of a differing opinion and accompanying heat was off the charts in my mind.

I put together a little meme with examples

Unfortunately, I think Trump voters' intolerance and racism is getting out of control. That's not just based on this Facebook page, but increased racism in my immediate blue state area that neved existed in my 40 years on this earth.

If Trump's presidency is seriously jeopardized, IMHO Trump voters will lose it and I expect a violent reaction, and a healthy counter-reaction - because there's plenty of pent up hostility on the left (the rational reaction to a President and his voters bashing you daily for your beliefs, existence, and for asserting facts).

Trump DACA flip-flop - 2011 Fox News Interview

Trump's flip-flopped as recently as April on DACA.

This video from 2011 essentially has him making the case to keep DACA - not DACA specifically but the idea that deporting dreamers is not compassionate and unfair.

US has been conducting back-channel talks with North Korea for months

Source: ABC News

Despite the bombastic rhetoric exchanged between North Korean and American leaders this week, the Trump administration has been quietly engaged in back-channel diplomacy with North Korea for several months, according to a source familiar with the negotiations.

The ongoing talks, which were first reported by The Associated Press, included discussions about U.S.-North Korean relations and Americans imprisoned in North Korea, the source said.
...

Trump and Secretary of Defense James Mattis have both used strong language pertaining to North Korea's threats. But Mattis said Thursday that the American effort was "diplomatically led."

...

"However, right now Secretary [of State Rex] Tillerson and [United Nations] Ambassador [Nikki] Haley, you can see the American effort is diplomatically led, it has diplomatic traction it is gaining diplomatic results, and I want to stay right here, right now. The tragedy of war is well known. It would be catastrophic."

Something has to give

Trump is intent on rigging elections with Russia's aid.

The GOP and base fully support it. Its their wet dream. All that money saved and democrats powerless.

Even if intelligence agencies discover it, the GOP won't do anything about it.

We're left with Mueller maybe finding evidence at some future unknown point of federal crime(s) against Trump, serious enough that the Republican house majority impeaches. Two huge very questionable assumptions.

What are the chances of the House turning majority democrat when Republicans smell a bloodless coup, and go to the polls to make it happen?

Meanwhile, Trump and the GOP use the delay to institute further rigging.

Mass protests are inevitable. I hope I'm wrong.
