Laurelin's JournalFebruary and March were awful
I lost a friend, two cousins and a dog. I can't do anything about the people. We tried living without a dog but decided that wasn't possible. So April has brought a puppy. She's a handful but a respite from grief. She's also my first actual purchased purebred; the ten who preceded her all arrived in need of a home. We tried to find a rescue dog but strays and rescues are not common here and it's seemingly impossible to find one that gets along with cats, so we actually bought a labrador puppy from a breeder. All three (rescue) cats are currently deeply offended but they've always lived with dogs and the pup is young enough to learn that cats are family.
My cookie selection form is in Russian maybe
It's something I can't read with an alphabet I don't recognize. I haven't seen it anywhere but on DU and I can't figure out how to make it readable. Even worse, it doesn't end with a submission question I can Google translate or something (that is, if I could figure out what language I'm trying to translate), I just have to pick a green, black or white circle.
Anyone else experience anything like this? Any ideas for what to do?
I randomly chose a button today but if I can't figure this out I'll give up. But I'll miss you all! Keep fighting the good fight! ❤
About the Colorado shooting
I just want to tell the lgbt members here (and the lgbt people everywhere) that you are treasures.
You are special and important and loved and I will fight for your right to be who you are and love who you love, as long as I live.
I'm so sorry people are so stupid and judgemental and just evil, and I am crying with you.
(If this is posted on the wrong place - should it be a thread? - I apologize in advance but I just had to say it. )
Dutch border-hoppers ignore Belgium and Germany's 'stay away' plea
Source: The Guardian
People hopping over the border to Belgium and Germany to avoid the Dutch lockdown are filling the neighbouring countries' restaurants and shops despite calls for them to "stay away".
Since Mark Rutte, the Dutch prime minister, announced the closure of hospitality and non-essential shops from Sunday, border regions have experienced a rush of visitors.

First time I've tried to post a link so I hope it's relevant and it works. (I did go to Germany several weeks ago to buy my husband's present but I wouldn't break lockdown to go. )
