She argued that selfishness is in fact the proper moral position, and altruism was evil.

the exact opposite of the truth is actually the truth.

Unfortunately, this type of pathological lying is intended to warp the minds of unsuspecting idiots.

You can find proof of how well it works, just by looking at the size of the Republican Party.

Psychopaths merely don't distinguish between good and evil; they have no morality. In Ayn Rand's case, her morality is to worship evil and hate good.

...no man is a villain in his own story...

Hence, the selfish, arrogant actions of the Republican Party have to be presented as enterprises toward a higher, more noble goal than those of the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party, in turn, must be shown as the most vile of all people, with motives that are equally vile and part of a much larger conspiracy to harm the real victims (Republicans obviously)...

The whole marketing campaign revolves around this theme.

I'm thinking it'd be more correct to say the Scumpukes' code of ethics is very permeable...or perhaps, "malleable"....

Sorry to casually amble along and stop to be a Grammar Nazi (tm)...heh heh!! (Ooooh, Casually Grammar-Nazi spraying? )

But seriously, what other discussion board but DU can you even SEE the word "fungible", much less discuss other articles of speech?

anyway, yes the bottle of milk vs stolen billions example absolutely illustrates the Scumpukes' creed.

Scumpukes...my new name for them. Maybe it'll gain traction......

from discussion I've had with many conservatives, they feel that selfishness expressed at the nuclear family level gives themselves and their loved ones the best lifestyle. most conservatives that I know place the value of their immediate family's lifestyle higher than those of anyone else and they generally feel that philosophy requires no justification.
