Unless we get enough senators and congressmen to override a Republican president's veto, we remain screwed.

Surely there must be one or two who will not sentence American citizens to death by repealing healthcare.

The employer mandate penalties were supposed to be triggered when a full time employee obtained premium tax credits for individual insurance ("Obamacare&quot directly from the exchange.

Is that still the case?

Democratic State houses to implement their own healthcare mandates. If there is a willingness there that could go a long way towards softening the blow until after 2020 when we can fix the mess repukes make.

with repukes in control of the federal government. Any thing we can do to help will have to come from the State level in States where we have the power to do something. We do have California and New York the 2 of most populace States in the Country. If we can get the big population States we control to implement their own mandate the impact of the repel of the individual mandate will be minimal.

would be nice if some billionaires would set ups a fund to help with this problem too? This i feel is a real sore spot for the Repubs! and i think it would be a real thorn in there side, if help was available for those in need . (somehow make it work)

insurance prices will rise, coverage requirements will disappear
millions will lose insurance coverage
tens of thousands will die
and eventually, Putin willing, America will join the rest of the industrialized world by legislating some form of national health care system, possibly along with a constitutional amendment declaring healthcare as a right.

I wonder how much it actually collects. There's no penalty for non-payment and 6 ways to Sunday to get out of paying it. And then it's like $700 per year.

Compared to the pay of health insurance company CEO's, it amounts to nearly nothing.

I've said this over and over again. If Trumpcare causes your medical bills to go up while decreasing your quality of care, then do not pay your medical bills or pay as slowly as possible. Seriously, I've got replies telling me that would make insurers angry and that's why they can't do that. That's the point! We all do it, not just the small group of people I've got going with this in addition to myself, then the government has to respond. Sheesh.
