The district's coordinator of counseling arranged for assemblies featuring a speaker from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The ACLU got ahold of emails she had sent to FCA.
In an email to Simmons the following month, Crouse called the mother who complained about McElroy "crazy." She concluded by stating, "Satan was at work today."
Simmons responded, "This isn't the only seemingly spiritual attack we've received as of late ... must mean we're threatening satan's kingdom!"

(10,602 posts)I was raised Catholic in my youth. We were taught that religion is a private matter. Your faith is best kept to your self. If you are Christian and a counselor leave your Bible and your faith at home. No religion or religious practices should exist in the public school system. And any charter school should be completely religion free. NO VOUCHERS FOR RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS. NO FAITH BASED
institutions should get ANY tax money.
If they insist, then we fully tax the churches on their property and income.

How about "Render unto Caesar..."
ON EDIT: Left out the word "POLITICS" - as in, just don't "get" how Fundies can preach POLITICS from the pulpit. As opposed to preaching RELIGION from the pulpit.
