https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/davos-attendees-are-quietly-planning-to-walk-out-of-trump%E2%80%99s-speech/ar-AAv8DH1?ocid=stA growing number of Davos attendees are planning to walk out of US president Donald Trumps speech at the World Economic Forum this Friday (Jan. 26), several conference-goers told Quartz, to protest his remarks about African countries earlier this month.
Boycotting Trumps Davos speech was first broached by Business Leadership South Africa CEO (and Davos attendee) Bonang Mohale in an open letter. Leaving Trumps speech after he starts is probably more powerful than boycotting it entirely, some Davos attendees speculate.
African CEOs said theyd like Trump to acknowledge that he said something inappropriate, and say hes sorry. Were only looking for that, just to apologize said Luvuyo Rani, the CEO of Silulo Ulutho Technologies, a South African internet company. Theres no way Trump realizes the damage hes caused, said Rani, who added he wasnt sure whether hed attend the speech or not.
Trump is scheduled to meet with Rwandan president Kagame, who is also chairman of the African Union, to reaffirm the U.S.-Africa relationship and discuss shared priorities, on Friday, the White House said. He speech is scheduled for the early afternoon.

Discord and the ultra wealthy do not mix there will be tight security when Trump talks doubt anyone is allowed to leave their seat.
The walkout was first promoted by South Africa CEO Bonang Mohale and I suspect he is mainly hoping to help Trump decide to give some goodies to the African union when Trump meets with the African Union reps right before the speech. Hope I am wrong would love to see the expression on Trumps face in a walkout but the wealthy are not going to give us that.
