There are travel agents and protocol experts that arrange these things for him. But if you leave key positions unfilled and you don't know how government works, there is nobody to make travel arrangements for you.

Guys like Trump and Tillerson are used to having a horde of lackeys around to smooth the way for them, and they figure that in government, like private enterprise, there's someone who's just there to take care of everything. It doesn't even enter their minds that they have to staff those positions from scratch. There's no holdovers when the previous administration was from the other party, and Trump has been meticulous about weeding out anyone he deems insufficiently obeisant.

So the Secretary of State for the United States of America sleeps in a rest home and eats his meals standing up.

8. Those fools LITERALLY dont know what their jobs are

At least in many cases. Our secretary of Energy for a start. DeVoss. Ben Carson used to live NEAR the projects, so now he runs an agency with the word “house” in the name. The Treasury secretary has even less clue than those three fools; he’s just a better bullshitter.

Others, like Pruitt and Mulvaney, have spent their careers trying to destroy the entity they’re running.

I think Tillerson understands the State Department in THEORY, the purpose of it, but has no idea how any of that purpose is accomplished or even WHY those are the purposes. Ironically, even thought he worked his way up from humble beginnings to Titan of Industry, he has ZERO experience in the field. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Running a government agency — which by definition have completely different goals than “profitability” — is totally foreign. Trump might as well have made him the Poet Laureate or asked him to repaint the Sistine Chapel. The skill sets aren’t the same.

and his people, when arriving at the WH, told existing staff that they were looking forward to working with them. The outgoing staff had to explain to them that they were packing up and leaving.
