Well now. I thought McCabe retired.
Looks like Junior is either talking out his ass or he spilled the beans.

(53,061 posts)McCabe actions before the election were being reviewed because the allegation was that he slowed the investigation into Clinton's emails while his wife was running for office and getting donations from Clinton friendly sources.
The Nunes memo has nothing to do with that but alleges that the application for the FISA warrant was based on the Steele document, which it really wasn't.
McCabe probably didn't do anything wrong, and there wasn't anything substantial in the emails anyway but it would have been prudent to have anyone who has a significant other running for Congress to be moved to criminal investigation that has nothing to with politics. They have lots of other crimes that need investigation and it seems logical that anyone who has a close connection with a candidate in either party should not be involved in crimes related to the election or misdeeds in office.

(464 posts)While Clinton email investigation may have been underway then, 2015 elections were over and he had cleared all with FBI ethics before assuming email position. It's Comrade Nunes trying to grab on to something that was over and done with.

(3,515 posts)His personal opinion is not an issue. He follows his ethics, I will bet.
Loyalty to your client which in the FBI is the American people is the basis of a lawyer's ethics.
McCabe's conduct of the investigation would not have been affected by his wife's campaign.
Lawyers have to defend repugnant criminals with honesty and loyalty. Lawyers don't think like other people. At least good ones like McCabe don't. They think about what is best for their client. Period.

Actually it's been a hard few days with all the sound bites from all of the assholes on the radio. Is there a version of NPR that bleeps their voices? Maybe just play a good raspberry instead?

(3,515 posts)I thought Trump would completely disfigure his face what with all the grimaces he made during his State of the Union.
The only one who doesn't make these grimaces is Kelly, and he looks constipated most of the time.

(14,329 posts)Wray did ask McCabe to leave early, and it was a day after seeing the memo, but it was not because of the memo. Post hoc ergo propter hoc (after this, therefore because of this) is a fallacy.
Wray is planning to issue a point-by-point rebuttal to the memo if it is released. He would not fire someone based on a lie-riddled memo.

(2,064 posts)Apparently there was some delay regarding HRCs emails.
Dont think it had anything to do with Nunes Nonsense.
Just proactive management taking a club out of the repugs hands.

(1,896 posts)He gets an email that contains the confirmation that "Russia and its government" were supporting his father's candidacy and were looking to take additional steps to do it and he says he's all for it. He doesn't strike me as someone who is very aware of the circumstances he's living in. I guess growing up rich and privileged saps you of certain instincts.
Good morning
Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.
The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.
This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.
What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?
I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.
Best
Rob Goldstone
Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I am on the road at the moment but perhaps I just speak to Emin first. Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer. Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back?
Best,
Don

That would be it's, not its. It's is a contraction of it is, which is what The Little Dear was trying to say.
