Can Trumpers claim Trump was found "not guilty"? What's the legal status?

Claiming he was found "not guilty" when the vote was 57-43 but short of the needed supermajority (which itself is short of the unanimity a normal trial jury would need) seems wrong.

And he WAS found Not Guilty under the rules of our pathetic Government.

So yeah, he can claim Exoneration twice now. And he will.

Under the same scenario, if the GOP picked up a couple of seats in 2022, they could remove Biden.

There's a pretty solid reason why it's 67. The framers wanted to ensure that it was exceedingly rare. They didn't anticipate that a party would ignore reality to acquit, but it would be far too easy for a party to remove someone on a political whim if the standard was a simple majority.

ultimately, the people will decide. And I think the majority has decided and the rest are still trying to process what they really believe.

The standard is 67. He was acquitted and declared not guilty. That's how Leahy announced it and how it was entered into the record.
