Dictators use military parades to intimidate their people

And also intimidate their political opposition by making the military salute and pledge personal alliance to them. Trump has shown that he is a wanna be dictator and his military parade request is just another proof.

I wonder if he will surround Congress with his so called parade. Then have a Pinochet style forced resignation of Congress. Murder thousands who oppose him.

I'm sure Putin would be willing to pay for it. Much like Nixon paid for the coup in Chile. And how Trump is paying for unrest in Venezuela.
