5. Waiting for Mitchell or another pundit to criticize him for still hanging around and talking

After all, whenever Hillary opens her mouth or shows her face, they jump all over her for refusing to go away. Can you imagine what the reaction would be if she sat down for a long interview and mused about the possibility of running again? And if she said the same things that Biden is saying about Trump, she'd be maligned as a bitter, sore loser who just can't let it go.

Double standard out the wazoo.

and he can hit the ground running - and of course appeal to the white male cohort that still supports the Rump

8. Because when all else fails, lets go back to white men

Screw the white male Trump supporting cohort. I don't want them in my party and we don't need them to win. We have more than enough decent, sane voters to elect a Democrat if we just reach out to them and get them to the polls - and stop chasing around after ignorant white men who will only vote Democratic if they are convinced that the Democrats don't give a shit about minorities.

Bullshit.

10. I don't think there is room for "if"

And I don't think gender should be the decision maker - just the numbers that can get us back in power. It's that bad. Trump could win again according to the pundits anyway.

12. Your comment reminds me of the pundits who mused about Obama's Supreme Court nominations

"So, do you think the president will go for diversity or qualifications?" as if two things are mutually exclusive.

It's a pretty big leap to assume that white male voters will suddenly vote Democratic just because a white man is running as the Democrat. Biden has some serious baggage that will start to trip him up as soon as he announces he's running and he's no longer just funny "Uncle Joe." And much of that baggage involves a spotty record on civil rights and women's issues that could alienate, or at the very least, severely dampen the enthusiasm of minority and women voters.

But that's fine, as long as white male Trump voters are happy with him, right?

who has a lot of experience - it won't be a good time for the fresh new face that gets talked about. Voters will need the reassurance of someone who has been there before the Orange Diaster struck.

11. Biden would reinstate Obama policy

and Obama era respect. His race is irrelevant. His age is irrelevant. His gender irrelevant. He would be key to getting us back to the moment in time before this horror show started. And he would pull in the Obama Coalition. I would support him wholeheartedly. I would support any democratic candidate wholeheartedly. Stop the madness!

13. His race and gender are irrelevant because he's a white man?

Race and gender are NEVER irrelevant. It's just that people of a certain race and gender are seen as just "people" so some people think they don't notice it - when they notice it very clearly.

For Obama succession! Biden was Obama's chosen successor as soon as he chose Biden as VP!! If Joe Biden runs who do you think Obama will endorse??? Sick of the purity test for candidates on our side.
