With Fox News and hate radio being so pervasive across the landscape and a lame MSM I do not know how we survive as a country in this severely twisted convoluted Alice In Wonderland unreality. So many outlandish and hateful things are almost a new normal.

Most of the population seems to be inundated with the likes of Hannit, Limbaugh and extreme RW hate radio. There are no progressives to speak of on the AM radio dial where many Americans listen daily. Getting any message out other than theirs come only on scattered outlets like Free Speech TV, progressive internet sites and in some social media.

Even in the social media progressive messages are overwhelmed by a tsunami of RW hate and bots that flood the sites. So even putting out the progressive messages is problematic. And with the trashing of net neutrality the RW will have an advantage of large amounts of money to buy speed and access.

These extreme views overtake all other messages for the most part. And the lame MSM just seem to parrot a lot of the same propaganda or engage in "both siderism."

The problem is that the Democrats need to be better at messaging. And even if they did there are few legitimate places to get that message out.

During the Obama era progressive media was advancing. But before 2016 many of those outlets were bought up. Then they were silenced or turned into sports radio or religious radio or just abandoned.

His signing of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 led to the tragic consolidation of media ownership we are experiencing today. Just six mega-media companies own 90% of the Television market, and four companies own the OTA radio market. In some markets Rushbo is on three-to-five different stations a day, either live or delayed.

3. We can't. We have to take them down.

We have to focus on single targets, shame advertisers, and one-by-one take down the right wing hate. We have the numbers, we just don't have the focus. Together, we could send Rush L into early retirement.

At the same time, we need to support progressive voices. Encourage / support / crowd source the purchase of local stations. Get them out of the hands of the right.

We have to control the message. We know, from all the research, that facts won't change the minds of people once they have decided on a point of view. Time is critical. No time to waste.
