Trump Declares War On The #MeToo Movement Because He Says It Hurts CEOs

.

Donald Trump despises the #MeToo movement because he says it hurts CEOs by making it easy for female employees to sue.

Axios reported, “Donald Trump despises the #MeToo movement because he says it hurts CEOs by making it easy for female employees to sue.”

The article also states the Trump’s believes Rob Porter’s ex-wives and was outraged that a guy who he called, “straight out of central casting” could have committed acts of violence against women.

=====

I thought businesses were people. Trump's statement seems to indicate that the CEO wears two hats:

1) The CEO of the corporation.
2) The Corporation itself, which is deemed a separate legal entity (and apparently a person).

The people who do file complaints are targeting the abusers, the enablers, and the company that allowed it.

Last I checked, there was more than just a CEO running most corporations.

We don't need gov't strongarm tactics to protect them more than they already are.

The entire system would collapse.

I think Trump is on to something.

If not illegal then unethical.

They don't deserve and are not worthy of presidential protection.

Somehow a lot of people are missing the point of the "me too" movement.

I'm a woman.

When a boss or co-worker especially a supervisor flirts, propositions, comes on to, makes uninvited proposals or physical contact or sexual suggestions to another person in the workplace, that other person may easily lose his or her (usually her) job if he or she (usually she) says no or ignores the pass or complains.

This is the reality.

That's what "me too" is about.

And let me say it here, and I don't want to go into detail. But "me too." And I did not invite the attention. In the most recent instance, I had already been married 39 years. Unbelievable but true.

And guess what, I had years with the company. I was their prime employee in many ways. The man who made the pass at me was named to a very high position, and, although I ignored him and said nothing, I was fired.

And then another boss (not the one who was so aggressive) in the company said to me that I looked like a movie star he named. He was blushing. I'm just a normal woman. I dress professionally, not provocatively. I did nothing to garner attention. I'm still married to my dear husband whom I love and have loved since we met while in college.

This "me too" business is serious stuff. If it does not succeed in putting an end to the sexual aggression of men in the workplace, our society will be in serious trouble. The "me too" movement gives me hope that maybe my beautiful daughters won't have to go through what I went through in my working life.

Sexual harassment in the workplace is not about romance. It's about putting women down. It's about power.

What the hell does that mean. First their seems to be a stay possessive apostrophe in their because I can't see anything else in the sentence that it would relate to. Then, the sentence would seem to imply that he believes the wives.

WTF are they trying to say

Maybe Trump should start a support group for creepy, lecherous old men who can't get away with sexually harassing people without any backlash.

he's always going to see the world from the perspective of someone watching the bottom line, nothing more. He always assumes too that accusations are made by people who are trying to ruin the lives of those above them. This America, is what you get when you elect a CEO to be President.
