2. I was mesmerized listening to him.

It was a real joy listening to him and I had tears in my eyes realizing how far things have sunk with the current occupant of the White House. President Obama is thoughtful, measured in his comments no matter where he speaks. If it is for a portrait unveiling or to announce an important policy change, he can be counted on to have thought about (or is thinking about) every word he utters. Unlike our current President who speaks loosely and without precision, President Obama measures every word, every syllable. I used to get annoyed by his slow delivery (at times) but came to understand that every word out of his mouth would parsed and analyzed thoroughly. So he was extremely careful about what he said and HOW he said it. tRump just goes off on a tangent or rant and never looks back or slows down to consider his next phrase. It quickly turns into word salad with no meaning.

The appearance of the Obamas this morning just reminded me of what we once had and are now missing. 😥
