When Republican Gov. Scott Walker said iPhone manufacturer Foxconn was bringing 13,000 jobs to Wisconsin, we drew the line on his exuberance at Half True.
Even the Taiwanese company itself has said only there is potential for 13,000 jobs, and that its initial plans call for 3,000.
But some Democrats, including state Rep. Melissa Sargent of Madison, have also been overly effusive in criticizing the up to $3 billion in incentives Walker wants to give Foxconn.
Sargent, who made news in early 2017 for proposals to legalize marijuana and eliminate the states "tampon tax," posted this tweet on Aug. 2, 2017 -- a week after Foxconn announced in the East Room at the White House that it had chosen Wisconsin for its first major American factory:

When the Big Con starts talking about how great he is for putting this deal together....best to look at facts.

(3,577 posts)That way we can listen to the radio 24/7, not just daytime hours as in the past year. Years ago I was able to get WCPT, just barely, but then it became unhearable, so it's been nice to have our own Resistance Radio, WRRD.
