News Site Run By Nunes Campaign Goes Offline After Report Exposes It (Hacked?)

.

Hacked? Yeah, right!

After Politico reported on Sunday morning that Rep. Devin Nunes’ (R-CA) campaign runs its own “news website,” the site went offline, with a message on its Facebook page claiming that the website was the victim of an “attack” on its servers.

“Due to heavy traffic and an attack on our servers, you may encounter an error message when attempting to reach The Republican,” a message on the Facebook page for the “California Republican” read on Sunday evening. “We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Politico reported Sunday morning that a website called the “California Republican,” which was billed as a news website, was paid for by Nunes’ campaign. A line at the bottom of the cached page reads, “Paid for by the Devin Nunes Campaign Committee.”

Read the Politco article to see what a dick this guy is.

In response to negative coverage, Nunes has cast himself as a victim of media smears. He told radio host Rush Limbaugh last week, “Almost every story is fake news. … Almost every story that runs about me is fake. I mean, it’s unbelievable the stuff that is out there.

He added, "Democracy does die in darkness. The problem is, is the darkness is emanating from the mainstream media themselves. I mean, they refuse, they absolutely refuse to cover the truth. They don’t want to cover it.

Asked for comment about “The California Republican” website, Anthony Ratekin, Nunes’ chief of staff, said in an email Saturday: “Until Politico retracts its multitude of fake stories on Congressman Nunes, we will not go on the record.”

Let's dissect this bullshitter for a moment, shall we?

The Internet Archive took 3 snapshots of his site this year, on 2/2, on 2/11 & 2/12.

http://web.archive.org/web/20180202004407/http://www.carepublican.com/

On 2/2, it is a fully functional website, with many articles posted.

On 2/11, there is a post that the site was having a problem being probed and a redirect to its Facebook version.

The Facebook page states as it's top post:

Due to heavy traffic and an attack on our servers, you may encounter an error message when attempting to reach The Republican.

Mind you, based on the above articles, this is a low access website, so where is this traffic coming from?
Also, how can a news site be hacked from 2/2, and not noticed until after the Politico article came out?

On 2/12, another snapshot attempt, with the same results as above.

Here are the web traffic stats for that URL (US ranking #325,909):

https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/carepublican.com

Alexa Rank not available. Not enough traffic data.

Alexa can not even deduce trends statistics, types of users, or anything because no one really visits the website.

On to other interests. Has anyone come up with a scenario as to why hardhead is so close to pRezident dRumpf? I don't get into a lot of research, but I continue to think someone out there is pulling together a past.

Maybe he's like the turtle and whif, he's moved his assets offshore.
