must be broken up according to early Internet entrepreneur Scott Galloway. Lengthy article from Esquire.
Four companies dominate our daily lives unlike any other in human history: Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google. We love our nifty phones and just-a-click-away services, but these behemoths enjoy unfettered economic domination and hoard riches on a scale not seen since the monopolies of the gilded age. The only logical conclusion? We must bust up big tech.

(16,646 posts)And I wouldn't say they are "just a click away". But I can see "breaking up" Google (or more specifically Alphabet). Amazon may be getting too monopolistic as well.

(39,343 posts)That said, Amazon and Google are huge and invasive, but I don't know how you can break that up.

(31,464 posts)But damn...I recall when very concerned people told me to drop Apple everything. They're going out of business any day now. I almost lost my fancy corporate job when I insisted upon outfitting the art department with Mac II computers. I've been laughed at for desperately hanging on to that loser Apple when clearly Microsoft Paint would rule the world.
Yeah, fuck 'em all. These are four companies who figured out what people wanted before they knew they wanted it. It's evolution, baby. You do believe in evolution, right?
