BigmanPigman
(51,649 posts)9. Actually it is being reflected off of his tie.
When I was working in the Display Dept at Macy's this can happen depending on the lights and where objects are located and the angles they're place at. His hair is more silver, white lately and that picks up reflections easily. There is such a thing as reflective light and shadow on most curved objects. Think of an egg...the dark side has a little bit of what appears to be light next to the darkest shadow on the side that is shaded.
I still have my Carnival display out on my table and the bright pinks, blues and magenta are all over everything in the surrounding area depending on which light is hitting it and from which angle.
