They should tell him his family and he is in great legal jeopardy and the longer he stays in office the more trouble they will be in. The case for obstruction and other crimes keeps on growing. They should tell him to consider resigning before its to late. They should tell him to save the American people and the country from going through an impeachment process. If he resigns Pence can pardon him on federal crimes. He will only have to deal with state crimes.
It will take courage to tell him that and he may not listen, but they should still say it.

to Bob Mueller and company. And Trump himself acts like a guilty man
24/7. With his tweets, his attacks on HRC, trying to stop the Russia
investigation(s), and blaming Obama for Russia's attack on America by
saying, "it didn't happen, fake news, besides it is Obama's fault."

(5,914 posts)He would see them all thrown in a supermax facility if it would save his ass. Or even if it were to buy him a little more time. He is a solipsist. He believes every other being on this Earth exists solely at his pleasure.

(1,682 posts)Other than the commission of new crimes, which I don't discount, but which would almost certainly have an infinitesimal effect compared to his existing criminal actions, how long he stays in office would have no effect on "how much trouble they would be in". They will be in the same hellish amount of trouble either way. The investigations and potential prosecutions will not change regardless of how long Trump stays in office.
