opiate abuse still has me wondering about a connection-- though local LEO declared it accidental and not suicide. Maybe so...

I know we aren't supposed to speculate on this kind of thing, but it surely did absolve Eric and enable his moving on to be an Opiate "victim" and advocate for change, rather than answer for any of his prior misdeeds.

I just feel badly for the son. Friends of a friend who likewise have a son at UC-Boulder say that that Eric's son was a good kid and fit in well (in the very liberal Boulder environs). May he RIP
