GOP Rep. Yells ‘Fake News’ at a Reporter After Heated Spat Over Her Claims Many Mass Shooters Are Dems

Representative Claudia Tenney (R-NY) got into a heated argument with a reporter at a campaign stop, after she was asked about her claims that “so many” people who commit mass murders “end up being Democrats.”

Tenney, a controversial congresswoman who announced her reelection bid on Sunday, attempted to clarify her remarks to the reporter, in a seeming attempt to claim that she was pushing back on the notion that most mass shooters are Republicans.

After first going on a rant against the CNN and the media for covering the “constant Russia collusion story, which is now turning out to be a farce,” the reporter pressed her on the mass shooter claims.

“Did you listen to what I said?” Tenney asked the reporter. “They’re not false statements.” She added: “The false statements every single day, the media, the Democrats, what are they doing? Turn on the TV. The drumbeat every single say. Republicans, Republicans, Republicans, the NRA.”

“It isn’t just Republicans who commit all these terrible crimes,” she said, before slamming the “abhorrent behavior of the media.”

Eventually, Tenney brought the spat to an end, leaning in towards the reporter and yelling, “It’s Fake News!”
