Another day, another shooting threat-Teachers and Students should NOT have to do this every week

something is VERY wrong!!!

See Something

Say Something

it is working. The kid that threatened to shoot us all at lunch was removed within 10 minutes of his threat.

I have praised my kids all day. This is middle school so the "snitches get stitches" is big for them.

I told them it is not snitching-it is saving lives and could very well be your life that was saved.

But this is two weeks in a row. In a middle school.

Incredible. What is it, they think calling in a false alarm is cool or something? From what I hear parents are being charged a fine of....$1000. Which I think is not enough.

mass murder? What happened to the one who did it last week?

Edit: No response, so I guess the answer is that nothing happens to them. I used to get detention for chewing gum, so that cured me of gum.

merit a year off, and that future re-admission should require a complete and sincere change in attitude, with no room for error going forward. The burden should be on the offender to demonstrate sincerity.

However, in this climate we can not take the chance they were just sick jokes.

The one today mentioned a specific time.

These kids doing this are 12-14 years old.

You can not imagine the palpable fear in the students this last week.

Again today after the threat every one of my classes needed reassurance and again we talked about our plan A and B,C and D .

One student said they felt safe in my room but what about teachers that don't care or what if they are in the bathroom or coming from the library.

We talked about Run, Hide and Fight.

I am so pissed. These babies should NOT be worrying about this, and I should be allowed to teach my subject-not about gun-active shooting scenarios

We will be on spring break during the March to Live rallies but I really feel my students and our city would benefit from a large supportive showing. We have 105 buildings in our district Elementary, Middle and High school.

We teachers have tried to stay calm and reassuring but our nerves are about to burst. Spring Break can't come soon enough.

Since Florida 12 of our buildings have had threats. We, I believe, are the only building lucky enough to have more than one this month.

and are thinking the same thing.

I kind of feel like if something happens at our school it won't be by someone threatening on social media but someone quiet that says nothing till it happens
