2. Rep. Swalwell makes my exact point whenever I think about James Woods.

I used to think that despite his politics, he was moderately talented at playing assholes.

Until I realize that he's just an asshole in general.

Having lived or worked in this area for the last 8 years...

There aren't a lot of poor areas there at all. A lot of the executives in my last company lived in Dublin. Pleasanton is one of the most upscale suburban areas in the Bay Area with 100s to 1000s of homes worth more than a million.

Livermore is the home of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

I don't know what Mr. Woods is referring to when he claims that Mr Swalwell's district is "not strewn with drug needles, tent cities, and human shit like your California district". I'm sure that there are a few homeless and drug users there... but it is not a "run down" part of California or the country.



Oh... btw, when Mr. Woods played in the Bay 101 Shooting Star Poker tournament about 10 years ago, the player I backed busted his ass out of the tournament, winning me $2500 for my share of the bounty put on him. Not a good poker player.

6. All Of California

He is probably one of the people who thinks all of California is one big hellhole. I think a number of people who have never been to California and watch mainly Fox News think it is a horrible no man's land. I realize James Woods lives in California, but it is possible that he thinks his community is one of the only safe communities in California. He likely thinks that all the districts that have Democratic congressmen have all the same problems.

He also could have been dog whistling for his fans, who likely do not know the financial demographic of California, or what is really happening in California. His fans likely think the only safe and decent place to live in California is Hollywood. They may also think that is a shithole compared to "Red America".

is sort of run down and has more than its fair share of homeless.

Once, walking from my GF's apartment to the parking gararge (right off Hollywood Blvd) where my car was parked, I was attacked by a mentally disturbed homeless person. Only the presence of others who pulled him off me prevented me from having possible serious injury.

Other areas near there, West Hollywood, Brentwood, etc, are much more upscale.

7. Human Shit is Debatable

The human shit part of the comment is debatable. There are more than a few people who would argue that there is a large amount of human shit at the White House with Trump. Some would say starting with Trump. Other would say starting with Rob Porter. Finally, some would say there is so much human shit at the Trump White House it is hard to know where to start.

In addition, there is no way to know for sure that there are no drug users at the Trump White House. How many professional and successful people have been drug addicts without anyone even knowing? There could be a large amount of drug users in the Trump White House.

Apparently he got mad about Bill Clinton in 1998. He seems okay with tRump's proclivities, though. Woods got a concussion in an accident in 2015. Maybe it was worse than anyone realized.

Amber Tamblyn accused him of predatory behavior when she was 16. Elizabeth Perkins accused him of sexual misconduct. He tried to sue actress Sean Young. She counter sued and got $227,000 in an out-of-court settlement.
