then after the election I heard nothing about it.

(30,613 posts)The primaries did possibly show that seat-flipping may be a tough slog. 1 million Dems voted; 1.5 million Pukes voted. However, 1 million Dems is huge turnout in a Texas primary, so there is some reason for optimism.

(938 posts)But the good news is that we are finally starting to make the GOP spend more money and work harder to retain power. This will continue to build, and in a few cycles, the tide will turn. When that happens, the GOP's presidential aspirations will evaporate entirely, leaving only some kind of disgusting residue.
