Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has stepped into a fight between student loan companies and state regulators and shes siding with the loan companies.
The National Consumer Law Center described it as a plan to protect servicers and debt collectors that lie to borrowers.
Wonderful! Let's just screw over the students Betsy, that's what you do best!

(1,714 posts)I think colleges should be required to tell students how much their potential students will make in their preferred major, and what kind of jobs those grads get. Don't know if it would dissuade many, but if--for instance--philosophy majors understood that they would end up being $10/hour baristas, maybe they would choose engineering instead. Becaue, when people default on their student loans, who foots the bill?
