Things are looking better in PA-18--but folks still need to work

"Stating the hopefully-obvious, but the fact that PA-18 is competitive is a really bad sign for Republicans. It voted for Trump by 20 points and Romney by 17."

The previous Republican incumbent there (Tim Murphy) didn't even have a Democratic challenger in 2014 or 2016 & won by 28 points the last time he did, in 2012."

The reporter interviewed four people in a western PA restaurant. Three of the four were for Saccone and the young guy for Lamb wasn't a very strong spokesman.
It was depressing as hell that people still think trump has an agenda worth pursuing.

I wish I could have asked them, "Don't you ever watch the news or read a newspaper?" They weren't hicks, they were rather average, seemingly intelligent folks. MSNBC should have had two from each side, IMO.

So yes, we must not take anything for granted in PA18!! If you are in a position to help, please volunteer.

would never know that if you read The Hill...which should never be linked at DU, as an aside.

From Politico:

“As I said last night, the circumstances surrounding this situation are extremely disappointing to me,” National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Steve Stivers said in a statement.

But Stivers predicted that Republicans would easily hold Murphy's district, despite the scandal that destroyed the GOP lawmaker's career.

"The NRCC is undefeated in special elections this year and I’m supremely confident that will continue," the Ohio lawmaker said. "In the meantime, we look forward to seeing how national Democrats can spin yet another special election loss into a so-called moral victory."

But then he left out the fact that if the re-districting and new boundaries survive the federal courts, then that district, in its current configuration, goes away.

to have a decent shot to win. trump's tariff's is nothing but a bribe to the steelworkers, ex-steelworkers who would be single issur voters.

No polls taken can reflect the impact of the tariffs on potential voters. Lamb's is a great candidate against an incredible incompetent republican, he needs lots of luck to pull this off.

The media showed the entirety of the Rally with Comrade Trump and practically nothing of Biden for Lamb. The question was asked on Joy why they continue to give him so much air time.
