Bots and wingnuts are spreading lies on Rick Saccone's twitter page about republicans being..

turned away at the polls or that the polling places are closed because the legisltive district has changed. Virtually none of these "people" actually identify themselves as constituents of PA 18.

the election was hijacked, rigged or stolen. I believe if Saccone loses tonight - that they will contest the election.

Governor Wolf Statement on Directive that New Voting Machines have Paper Record
February 09, 2018

Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf released the following statement today on a new directive from the Pennsylvania Department of State requiring new voting machines to have a voter-verifiable paper ballot or paper record of votes cast.

“Counties across Pennsylvania are preparing to replace their aging voting equipment in the next few years. Today’s action by the Department of State ensures those new modern machines will include a paper record. This directive is another important step to strengthen the accuracy of our voting system and the integrity of our elections. We will continue to advocate for the federal government to provide more resources to update voting machines.”

When my puke governor lost in 2016 there were weeks of drama as he and the RNC claimed that the election was stolen. Guess what. He lost all the efforts to overturn the results and nobody in NC ever complains that he lost.

It just doesn't work. People don't care enough and they don't like losers.

If Saccone loses, the RNC will try to rile people up but it won't work.

If the federal courts leave it be (the GOP legislature has a couple suits in to block the PA State Supreme Court-imposed redistricting). Otherwise the new lines will be in effect for the May primary and the current 18th Congressional will be mostly the 12th Congressional (with different boundaries).

What Pennsylvania’s new congressional map means for 2018

The new map puts several Republican-held seats in danger of flipping to Democrats.

By Andrew Prokopandrew@vox.com Feb 21, 2018

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court released a new map for the state’s US House of Representatives districts Monday, to replace the old one it struck down as a Republican partisan gerrymander. And the new map is positively fantastic news for Democrats in their effort to take back the House this fall.

“Democrats get everything they could want,” the New York Times’s Nate Cohn tweeted when he first saw the map Monday.

“With few exceptions it’s Democrats’ dream come true,” the Cook Political Report’s Dave Wasserman tweeted. “GOP not going to like this at all.”
