ex-frumper at work: Great story!

This guy was subbing for someone and so I just know him slightly, but, not for long.

I was explaining to an old friend of mine at work how the Penn vote was a vote against frump and therefore a great sign for november.

He was within earshot, but not involved in the conversation.

So, I was totally shocked when he chimed-in.

He admitted he voted gop in the last 2 pres. elections, but that now, he's so pissed off at the gop and frump that he wants the entire gop voted out of office in november. He said it with malice, too, and that was a surprise because like I said, it was work and so I would never directly discuss politics or anything personal with him. He's not a real employee: He's outsourced, and also just a sub.

He was insisting on telling me how much he hates frump. I agreed that had they run Kasich we'd all be far better off than we are now (ok, ok, I know we here don't like him, but when it's a stranger, you want to appear even-handed, especially at work).

But we agreed that this catastrophe of a white house is entirely the gop's fault, for allowing the grifter to take the gop candidacy.

Out. Of. Friggen. Nowhere. I am not making this up or exaggerating.

There are probably lots of people out there, but since politics are really forbidden at work, most of the time, they keep quiet.

that he shows up because of a contract, through another company, but I don't feel like it would be my place to discuss something like this with him.

So, he's not OUR employee, so, it was really wierd that he spoke up. That's all.

Most employers expect you to interact differently with contract employees. No small talk, just here's your work and go on your way.

A district that went 20% more for Trump than Hilary, just elected a democrat. Why? Those people are sick of Trump. Why? He is a lying, thieving, self absorbed asshole that couldn't care less about this country. He only cares about himself and possibly Russia.....(maybe a few members of his family, maybe)

and guess what??? The people in that district in Pennsylvania, did indeed wake up and vote for the opposite of who Trump endorsed. And Trump was in the area a few days earlier touting his support for the republican..and those people last night elected a democrat.............................................................

............................................that is the proof..........................need I say more?

Just heard Jason Kander on MSNBC (on Chris Hayes's show) that this is true! He said in his travels and his work as a Demo organizer now, he sees it all over the place, wherever he goes. Particularly among those who basically admit they just woke up. He said he's never seen so many people who reported getting involved for the first time in their lives, as of the rise of trump.

... and not just trump. He's just a late stage symptom of the disease that has taken over the republican party over the last 3-4 decades.

5. Good to hear. I think there are probably a lot of people like this.

I even know some republicans that couldn't stand Trump to begin with, but I think a lot of them voted for him because he had an R next to his name and/or they couldn't stand Hillary. We hear a lot from the Southern/Midwestern evangelicals because they are vocal and angry, but they are hardly entirely representative of the republican party and I think a lot of "reasonable" republicans have finally had it with his shit.

we would be better off with Kasich as president. Not good, but at least not the world’s laughingstock.
