Some people are just plain, inconsiderate, selfish assholes.

Something like this would have infuriated me... and I'm one of the easiest going persons
I know.

Personally, I would have stood my ground and waited them out, or wait for the cops/security to arrive
and deal with the situation. Only problem with that is the very real possabilty of them coming back
and vandalizing my car; which hopefully would be caught on a security camera (not that it would do
any good). Which makes the best option is to wait them out/wait for the cops, park in that space,
wait awhile until they're gone, pull out and find another parking space, or just go home and call
it a day.

NY Woman Tries to ‘Save’ Parking Space By Standing in It, Refuses to Move for Actual Cars
A woman was recently caught via dashcam footage standing guard over a parking spot and refusing to leave even though a car was rightfully trying to claim the space.

In the footage posted on Facebook by Nicholas Chew, a car is seen attempting to drive into an empty parking space inside a packed garage in Flushing, Queens when, suddenly, a woman blocks the car by standing in the spot.

Refusing to allow the car to take the free space, she insisted that she save the spot for her father, who would show up any minute in a Blue Compass jeep.
Seeing that there was no jeep in the vicinity, the driver asked the woman to move so he can park his car.
“Are you serious?” Chew asked. “This is a car parking space, not a woman parking space, get out of here!”
As he started honking his horn, another woman, believed to be the woman’s mother, arrived and stood beside her in the parking spot.

I used to live in OB. People were trying to “save” parking spots all the time. The cops watch for that and are not shy about writing people up for it.

The story is from an Asian website, and the guy that was accosted is Asian.
If anything, I always thought any stereotype was just the opposite... that
Asians are some of the most polite people you'll meet (at least with regards
to the Japanese).

Assholes come in all races. These two just happen to be Asian.
