1. They do not think he is a liar. Name any lie and they will wiggle and say it is not a lie. I saw someone on a twitter thread say that he challenges liberals to name one lie and they never can. So someone stated the lie about "Obama tapping Trump's phone". The guy immediately stated that was true and not a lie.

2. They claim he is ultra patriotic, stepping away from his businesses at great cost so that he can work hard to drain the swamp, protect America and make it great.

3. They claim it is all either locker-room talk and lies by the women.

4. They don't believe that. They still believe he is a multi-billionaire and business genius and has a great grasp of economics and international trade.

5. They say that Manafort may have been laundering but it has nothing to do with tRump because the charges relate to a couple of years before tRump announced his candidacy in 2015.

In other words, they are so invested in him that they blow everything negative away and feel like they are winning.

They can feel this way because they are far-gone examples of confirmation bias. They never seek both sides to a story. They only seek stuff that pumps tRump up or that appears to knock down negative stories. Once they find something that seems to do that they stop looking and won't listen to logic or evidence or new information until one of their propaganda sources issues another workaround a new negative story.
